Running Back, Nick Chubb (Freshman)

I debated putting Chubb on here. Prior to the season I knew he would be good — everyone knew he’d be good – but could I have predicted he would be the main ball carrier for 4 plus games? Nope. Can anyone honestly say they knew Chubb would rush for over 1,000 yards this season? If you said yes you are either lying or need to go with me to Vegas.

With Gurley now out for the rest of the season (and probably his college career) it will be on Nick Chubb to hopefully lead the bulldogs to Atlanta and beyond. The freshman has stepped in and performed like a seasoned veteran, much like the way Gurley did two seasons ago when he first appeared on the scene.

There isn’t much Chubb can’t do and he’s just getting started.

Honorable mentions: RB, Sony Michel (Freshman), OG, Greg Pyke (RS Sophomore), CB, Damian Swann (Senior)

Now let’s all hope Maty Mauk has nightmares about Quincy Mauger during the Tennessee game and it becomes pick city in Knoxville. Go Dawgs!
