No. 5: Oakland Raiders

You almost hate to wish this on Gurley, but the fact is that Oakland sits dead last in the league in rushing. They’ve got a hot young quarterback, and work in progress on their offensive line, but they can’t run it…period.

Gurley runs with attitude, and can be a bit testy on the field at times, perfect for the Raiders’ M.O.

Unfortunately more than one first round pick has gone to the Black Hole in Oakland, never to be heard from again (remember that guy named Darren McFadden?), and several aging backs have headed out west to watch the sun set over the Pacific as well as their own careers.

The Raiders are and always have been a team obsessed with the sexy picks, rather than the smart ones. Despite being last in the league in just about every defensive category, the smart money says that if there’s a receiver or running back that will make a big splash, Oakland will run and grab him.

But Oakland is likely on their way to a number one overall pick, and it’s doubtful that Gurley will be that guy. But the Raiders have been known to make draft day trades, and they may trade down for a handful of picks since they have so many needs.
