Georgia’s opponents are scoring 65 points per game and 56% of D1 schools are allowing fewer points. Interesting, but not as meaningful as opponents shooting success. Once again we’ll draw a plumb line and grade on the bell curve.
Dawg opponents are only shooting 38% from the field and Georgia is defending better than 90% of all D1 schools – A.
Georgia opponents are shooting only 29% on from behind the 3-point arc, and the Dawgs are defending the three pointer better than 85% of all D1 teams – B.
Despite taking only 7 steals a game, the Dawgs shooting defense numbers considered along with Georgia’s rebounding numbers prove Georgia to be an excellent defensive team.
There is nothing the Georgia basketball team does better than defend.
