Everyone has sports pet-peeves. I would venture to say I have more than others, (and they vary based on the sport) but I don’t think anything annoys me more than bad fans. Whether it be a game or social media, bad fans are a huge epidemic and they are only getting worse.
And its not like some of these terrible fans don’t exist in the Georgia fan base. Unfortunately, they do, and you’ll have to know what to do when you encounter these alien life forms. I started thinking today and categorized them into five separate groups.
Each group is different in their own way. Most are easy to distinguish and I feel I speak for the majority when I say they are some of the worst humans alive. These aren’t your easy to spot, typical druken rowdy bad fans. Those whose stupidity level is increased with alcohol may worm their way into one of these groups, but typically those are just brain dead rednecks.
However, with many stories coming out this year about fan treatment I have decided to address each type of bad fan, how you identify them, and most importantly how to interact with them. We don’t need anymore reddit stories going viral about our fan base so read my below suggestions and maybe no Auburn fans will whine when they lose in Athens.
