No. 13: South Carolina Gamecocks

2014 Finish: 7-6, 3-5 SEC, 5th in SEC East
Key Losses: QB Dylan Thompson, RB Mike Davis, WR Damiere Byrd, WR Nick Jones, OL A.J. Cann, OL Corey Robinson, DL J.T. Surratt, DB Brison Williams
2015 Recruiting Class: 15th in nation (29 commits)
2015 Prediction: 6th in SEC East

Make no mistake, 2014 was no fluke for the Gamecocks, it’s part of a trend. Defensively South Carolina really struggled and they don’t look to have many answers coming into this season.

Carolina will come into the spring with a quarterback battle and some serious questions at the running back position. The one redeeming thing about this program is that Spurrier is still a draw and still recruits well, so some of the incoming talent may surprise.

The loss of QB Dylan Thompson and RB Mike Davis are huge for a team who already had its struggles. Spurrier can get this program back, but it most likely won’t be in 2015.
