Nov 29, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Kentucky Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops talks with place kicker Austin MacGinnis (99) during the second half against the Louisville Cardinals at Papa John

No. 11: Kentucky Wildcats

2014 Finish: 5-7, 2-6 SEC, 6th in SEC East
Key Losses: WR Javess Blue, DL Bud Dupree, DL Za’Darius Smith
2015 Recruiting Class: 31st in nation (18 commits)
2015 Prediction: 4th in SEC East

This is going to be a “show me” year for Mark Stoops. He won’t be under pressure to make an SEC title run, but he’s going to have to produce a winning team and probably a winning record in SEC play before patience begins to wear thin.

He’s spent the last two years bringing in some pretty good recruiting classes, and now is when Wildcat fans might start seeing the fruits of that work. QB Patrick Towles showed some promise last season, especially early on. Kentucky has some of the pieces in place, and will take another step.

Watch for big position battles this spring, particularly at the running back spots.
