Javarius Davis, Running Back

City/School: Jacksonville, Fl./Ed White H.S.
Rating: 3-star
Rankings: State – No. 56, Position – No. 33, National – No. 390
Status: Uncommitted
Top Choices: Florida, Auburn, Georgia

Davis would be a great way to fill out the running back position for the 2015 class, although with the recent commit of Tae Crowder, it’s not quite as pressing.

At 5’10, 173 pounds, Davis isn’t the brawling, bruising back that most Georgia fans are accustomed to seeing, but would be terrific for change of pace, working the screen game, and on special teams.

Most analysts have Davis signing with the Gators, but with the complete turnover at Florida, there’s no telling what can happen with the Gators recruiting class. If Davis doesn’t choose to stay close to home, then Auburn will probably be his choice. He recently paid two official visits to Auburn, but with the recent debacle of Bobby Petrino and Todd Grantham pulling an offer to a running back from S.C., Davis might be gun-shy about the that school.

The sight of backs like Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, and Nick Marshall may sway him Georgia’s way, but it’s a longshot at best.

Georgia’s Chance: 10-15%
