DaQuan Hawkins, Defensive Tackle

City/School: Atlanta, Ga./Westlake H.S.
Rating: 3-star
Rankings: State – No. 74, Position – No. 37, National – No. 712
Status: Uncommitted
Top Choices: Georgia, Auburn, Cincinnati

Hawkins would be an absolute steal if Georgia can get him. An in-state product with a lot of upside, coach Tracy Rocker has done a good job of recruiting him.

At 6’4, 285 pounds, Hawkins is an imposing presence on the line, and has seen his stock rise over the past two months. He’ll need some work on fundamentals, but he’s got a lot of good skills already, including some impressive strength.

There’s been no official commitment from Hawkins yet, but the consensus is that he’s going to sign with Georgia. Unless something wild happens on NSD, expect him to be a Bulldog.

Georgia’s Chance: 95%
