Tae Crowder, running back – Hamilton, Ga.

When the panic set in that Georgia might be losing both Shaquery Wilson and Darius Slayton in this year’s class, followed by the de-commitment of running back Chris Carson, Mark Richt got to work and went out to find another back to bring in, and he found a good one in Tae Crowder.

Crowder is one of those guys who too many coaches didn’t do their homework on, and could have had a real steal. Luckily for the Bulldogs they got him and still managed to flip WR Shaq Wilson back from West Virginia.

This is no Todd Gurley or Nick Chubb in disguise, but what the Bulldogs may have ended up getting is an even better version of Quayvon Hicks, who is absolutely no slouch. Crowder stands 6’3 and weighs 220 pounds, which makes him one of the biggest backs in the Georgia backfield.

Take a guy of his size, and convert him to a hybrid fullback position, who catches passes out of the backfield, and can take the ball in the gut and run it through the tackles when Chubb needs a rest, and you have yourself a player.

Huge pickup for the Dawgs, and a guy you may see more of than you thought this season.
