Who Will Win the Quarterback Battle?

The one-and-done season for Hutson Mason couldn’t be called a failure, but there weren’t exactly a lot of highlight reel sessions for his work either.

Now (yes, I know you’re all waiting for Jacob Eason) the task of taking over and bringing the Bulldogs another championship will fall on the inexperienced shoulders of Brice Ramsey, Jacob Park, or Faton Bauta.

With a new offensive coordinator, and other changes to the passing game, it’s been declared to basically be an open competition…may the best man win. Each has their own individual gifts and strengths, and much will depend on how coach Schottenheimer views the offense as a whole.

You can bet Georgia will still want to base everything off the run game, and rightly so. But the lack of explosiveness in the passing game can’t be overlooked this year, particularly with Alabama coming to call in Athens. The quarterback position will be a source of some scrutiny as spring drills begin.
