No, the Commodores fans aren’t divorcing Derek Mason….yet. But they are still in that grieving period over losing James Franklin.

They’re a bit bitter and still wish they were tied at the hip with Franklin, and every time they see him walking down the street in his Penn State shirt, they go on a binge-eating frenzy. Tons of pretzels and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

It will take some time for the relationship between Dores fans and Derek Mason to take root, that’s if it ever does. Right now, Mason just has to “be there” for the fans.

Sorry coach Mason, but you’re the transitional, aka “rebound” guy.
