Spurrier and the Gamecocks? Living in sin for quite a while.

Yes, that’s about as far as this one is ever going to go. When he moved in, South Carolina fans knew it would have a time limit, this wasn’t going to be a “for life” situation.

They love each other sure enough, but he’s been through too many wars to want to commit to a marriage at this time, and for the Gamecocks, they’re just hoping that being seen with someone like Spurrier can make them popular enough to attract the next BMOC.

Before long, coach Spurrier is going to say he’s ready for the single life again, and the Gamecocks will be looking for a new date to the formal. And that’s fine…he’s gotten big curmudgeonly anyway.
