4. Antonio Williams

Antonio Williams (5’11, 210) is a 247sports.com 4-Star running back out of New London, NC, and is currently committed to the University of Wisconsin. Williams is listed as the 7th overall running back and the 3rd overall prospect in the state of North Carolina per 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

The catch with Williams is that he was primarily recruited by new Georgia running back coach Thomas Brown who wasted no time in reaching out to Williams to flip and join the Bulldogs and bring his running gifts to Athens.

Just how quickly did Brown reach out to the Badgers recruit that he helped bring to the University of Wisconsin? Well, he reached out to Williams before anyone else from the Wisconsin staff did which Williams stated was frustrating to him per Ryan Bartow at 247Sports.com.

Williams is a prolific runner and had an enormous junior campaign where he carried the ball 231 times for 2,267 yards and 27 touchdowns. Adding him to the list of players who run the ball for the Dawgs in the future would be a serious accomplishment as he would be a great asset in the rushing game.

The scenario with Williams and his commitment to the Badgers will be a waiting game and one that will take time to unfold and develop. Georgia fans can rest assured that Bulldog  running backs coach Thomas Brown will be on the ball in attempting to persuade Williams to join him in Athens to play for the Dawgs. This story is most certainly one that can be tagged “to be continued”.

Georgia has seven other confirmed offers to running backs in the 2016 class as the Bulldogs are looking to make sure that they can keep running wild in the future. Just how many of those prospects will accept an offer from UGA is unknown. What is known is that the Dawgs are “running” on all cylinders as they try to build the backfield of dreams for the future. Listed below are the seven other players who have received offers from Georgia.
