If you aren’t familiar with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, they are a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives.
Cancer is a terrible disease that affects every one of us, old and young alike. It shows no favoritism towards the weak or the strong, and takes far too many lives too early.
The St. Baldrick’s Kids charity will be hosting several events to raise money, and Dawn of the Dawg managing editor Michael Collins (me) will be participating at the March 14 event at Meehan’s Public House in Sandy Springs, Ga.
I will be joining many other Atlanta residents and celebrities in getting my head shaved in support of the foundation and children’s cancer research. You can be a part of his support without touching your own gorgeous locks by going to my donation page here and pledging your support, no matter how small.
Every. Dollar. Helps.
The money raised with go a long way towards eradicating cancer in our most helpless and innocent group. Unlike some charities, the bulk of the money you donate will go directly to research, and not to paying sponsors or spokespeople.
You can even set up your own page to become a shavee and help join the fight.
Dawn of the Dawg is proud to team-up with St. Baldrick’s Foundation for this very worthy cause, and we hope that you’ll support us and come out to Meehan’s on the 14th and help raise money and awareness for our children.
