Running Backs – Todd Gurley (2012-2014), Knowshon Moreno (2007-2008)
Two running backs, both with the caveat “if only” attached to their Georgia careers.
If only Gurley hadn’t been suspended and injured.
If only Moreno had stuck around longer.
Still, despite both backs having relatively short careers, they stamped their names in the Georgia record books and indelibly in the memories of the Bulldog Nation.
Gurley only played in 30 total games in his three season at Georgia, but amassed 3,285 rushing yards and 36 rushing touchdowns. That’s not even touching on his receiving and return yards. He finished second in career yards behind only Herschel Walker.
Moreno bolted Athens after only two seasons (heading out with Matthew Stafford) and still managed to tie Frank Sinkwich for sixth on the all-time UGA rushing TD list with 30, and fifth in career rushing yards with 2,734.
