Defensive Linemen – Geno Atkins (2006-2009), Charles Johnson (2005-2006)

Atkins and Johnson are a couple of guys who made life miserable for offensive linemen and quarterbacks in the SEC.

In just two seasons, Johnson racked up 13.5 sacks and 27.5 tackles for loss as part of his 67 total tackles. He was the consummate run stopper and protected the edge of the Georgia defensive line with a ferocity unmatched by few.

Atkins was a stalwart defensive tackle on the Bulldog line, and was seldom moved (usually having things go the other way) when offenses tried to push the Dawgs around. His career at Georgia ended with 11 sacks, 33 tackles for loss and 120 total tackles.

Both Atkins and Johnson have gone on to have incredible careers in the NFL, and both are still playing for their respective teams, Carolina and Cincinnati.
