No. 4: Yes They Can – Because the rest of the SEC is better this year
Let’s face it, the last three seasons (when Georgia was supposed to run away with the SEC East) the Bulldogs have tripped themselves and sprained their own ankles. In seasons when it seemed really nobody was going to seriously have the talent that Georgia would field, teams like Missouri rose up and just found ways to win.
Now it’s Georgia’s turn.
Tennessee is much better, Arkansas is much better, Kentucky is much better and Florida is….well, they’ll probably be improved.
With the competition stepping up on both sides of the conference, Georgia won’t feel like the favorite, and the players will feel they need to prove themselves every week and shut the doubters mouths. You know…just like Mizzou did last season.
If one of the knocks on Georgia is that they play down to their competition, then they should be up for a lot of games this year.
