David Andrews – Center
Despite three solid years of work as the Bulldogs’ starting center, Andrews isn’t getting a lot of respect by draft scouts. Most have him pegged as a possible 7th round pick or even UDFA.
The type of blocking that Andrews was expected to do at Georgia would fit perfectly with a team using a zone-blocking scheme. Lined up against an NFL nose tackle, Andrews could find himself being bull-rushed due to his lack of mass.
He’s agile and can pull, so there will be teams looking at him.
Likely Landing Spot: Atlanta Falcons (7th round/UDFA)
The Falcons do take heat from time to time for not picking players out of their own back yard, but Andrews would look like a bargain to the new coaching staff. Right now Joe Hawley looks like the best option at center for Atlanta, but Andrews might make a good backup and future project.
