Chris Conley – Wide Receiver
Prior to the NFL Combine, Conley was just another wideout who would probably be a 6th or 7th round pick, but after putting on an impressive show, he’s now touted as at least a 4th round pick, and rightfully so.
Conley was severely underused in a Georgia attack that featured tons of great running backs, and in a Mike Bobo offense that didn’t have a lot of plays in the book that utilized his talents. He’s got the skill set that will have some NFL scouts lining up to grab him once the top-line receivers are gone.
Likely Landing Spot: Indianapolis Colts (4th Round, 29th pick/128th overall)
With Reggie Wayne leaving Indianapolis, and quarterback Andrew Luck needing more dependable targets, the Colts will absolutely have their eye on Conley. To grab him in the 4th round will be a no-brainer for Chuck Pagano.
Conley would absolutely become a star with Luck throwing him the ball and with the pass-heavy offense employed by the Colts. We’d see what he would have looked like had he been around in Athens for the Matthew Stafford years.
