Special Teams – Marshall Morgan, Kicker

Georgia’s kicking successes and woes have been well documented, and the frustration over losing games due to poor performance by special teams was a sore spot for several years.

Morgan has had some shining moments as well as some questionable performances. If the Bulldogs are going to contend in the SEC and challenge for their first championship in 10 years, then the senior place kicker will have to be at the top of his game.

There’s more to it than just kicking field goals. The Bulldogs will rely on winning the field position battle, which means Morgan’s big leg will have to pin the enemy back as deep as possible on kickoffs. The pressure kicks, the game-winners and the impossibly long field goals will have to all be second nature for Morgan.

Without his leg, the Bulldogs may drop some close games.
