No. 3: Defense Mails In Performance vs. Florida

While this may not be a “moment”, it’s safe to say that nearly the entire miserable game against the weakened Gators was a moment in and of itself.

The Georgia defense, which had made great strides through the season and was looking like a solid unit, was gashed by the Gators running attack for 418 rushing yards to the tune of seven yards per carry. Florida didn’t even pretend to try and have a passing attack, they simply handed the ball to a back and said stop us if you can.

Georgia couldn’t.

It was one of the worst defensive performances in recent Georgia history, and ended up being a huge reason why the Bulldogs were shut out of the SEC Championship game, despite being miles better than the East champion Missouri Tigers.
