SEC Football: Predicting the Records for Each Team in 2015

5 of 15

LSU: 8-4 (4-4)

Losses: @ Mississippi State, @ Alabama, Arkansas, @ Ole Miss

Breakdown: Many people think that if LSU doesn’t at least win the SEC West this year that his seat will start to get a little toastier in Baton Rouge. My prediction is that exactly that will happen after another 8-win campaign in 2015.

  • LSU has to replace a lot of starters, as always, and while they have an abundance of talent and one of the freakiest players in the conference, if not country, in the young Leonard Fournette, the Tigers have a rather scary quarterback situation and they have to replace defensive coordinator John Chavis, who is now at Texas A&M.

Both Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings have had numerous chances to prove themselves at the quarterback position, and time and time again they’ve disappointed. One of those two needs to make major improvements and solidify himself as a starting quarterback in the SEC if LSU is going to have any shot at getting back to Atlanta.

Ultimately those two’s lack of production and lack of experience elsewhere will cause the Tigers to lose four games, but I do predict that the Bayou Bengals will be able to play an early spoiler to Auburn’s hunt for a title in week 3 in Death Valley.
