SEC East

Florida: 5-7 (2-6)

Losses: @ Kentucky, Tennessee, @ Missouri, @ LSU, vs Georgia (in Jacksonville), @ South Carolina, Florida State

Breakdown: If you want a summary of the Gators’ season, you might as well just scroll back up to the Ole Miss section. That, and Vanderbilt, will be the only victories Florida snatches this season in SEC play.

Things are gonna be rocky for head coach Jim McElwain in his first season down in the swamp, but one bright spot that he can turn to throughout the year and in the offseason will be that Ole Miss game.

I really like what McElwain did at Colorado State, and I expect him to turn around the Florida program much like Bret Bielema and Mark Stoops have begun to do at Arkansas and Kentucky, respectively. It won’t happen right off the bat, but it will eventually.
