No. 9: Richard Samuel

Year – 2008
Position – Running Back
Why he’s a bust – Never lived up to the hype

Samuel came into Athens looking like he’s be the next Herschel Walker. A big bruising back, touting a 5-star ranking and rated as the No. 3 running back in the nation coming out of Cartersville, Ga.

His career with Georgia hardly lived up to 5-star expectations. While he had some nice games and decent years, he was far from the game-breaker and world-shaker many believed he’d become out of high school, totaling just 833 rushing yards in his UGA career.
