Deangelo Gibbs is a 5-Star recruit rated the 1st overall corenerback and the 1st overall prospect in the state of Georgia for the 2017 Class per 247Sports.com Composite Rankings. The 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction has him listed as a 100% chance of going to the Bulldogs. As so, this is more good news for Jeremy Pruitt and the Bulldogs defense outlook.
Gibbs hails from Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Georgia. Along with his athletic capabilities which seem to be far beyond his age, Gibbs is an outstanding student and is heavily involved in his church’s youth programs. He is humble and very level-headed in spite of his quick rise to stardom in the recruiting world which are qualities that have an appeal to any football program and not just Georgia. Georgia needs to keep the lockdown on this one as he could very well develop into a defensive leader and captain for any team he should end up being on.
