Seya Steve

Steve Spurrier has given up on this season, and on college football. No, that’s not hyperbole. Unless you are living under a rock you now know the Head Ball Coach has hung up his visor (so that he may put on his more casual visor) and is heading to that great Kiawah Island Arby’s in the sky (or you know, the closest available Arby’s, they have the meat after all).

In all of his years as coach in the SEC Steve had never started 0-4 in the SEC, and certainly getting 50+ hung up on him in Athens didn’t boost moral in the Spurrier household this year. Now, with their season reeling, and their biggest rival entertaining playoff dreams, South Carolina will have to move on without Steve on both the field and the recruiting trail. As I am writing this, 4 star P.J. Blue has already decommitted and looks to be followed by a host of others from an already thin 2016 class.

See! It’s not just us guys! Life is a never-ending nightmare for just about everyone! Don’t you feel better? I do.

Keep all of this in mind this weekend as we get set for a true night game between the hedges against a struggling Missouri team down a starting quarterback. No matter how bad it gets, there is always someone who has it worse than us . . . at least until Spurrier takes over as head coach at North Texas, that is.
