10 – Jake Scott

Georgia is the only school to produce three different Super Bowl MVP players. One of those was legendary safety Jake Scott.

In only two years in Athens, Scott racked up a UGA record 16 interceptions, 315 interception return yards and took two interceptions back for touchdowns in a game against Kentucky (ties an NCAA record).

Named an All-American in 1968, Scott was the anchor on the 68’ SEC championship team that went through the regular season unblemished (8-0-2). Being named Super Bowl MVP on the 1972 undefeated Miami Dolphins squad, which is considered the best NFL team of all-time, highlighted his NFL career.

In 1986, he was inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 1986. Also, he was named to the Quarter Century All-SEC Team, the 1960’s All-SEC team and the 25-Year All-SEC Team.
