Theus was the leader of an experienced group of men up front for the Dawgs in 2015. He started in all 14 of the team’s games in his freshman season of 2012 and was named to the All-America Freshman Team by Sporting News. His 2013-campaign saw him start in eight of 13 games in an offense that was ranked No. 2 in the SEC in passing. Last season, he started in all 13 games helping the Bulldogs lead the SEC in rushing yards per game (257.8 yards).
This season Theus has played a huge role in Georgia’s 194.3 rushing yards per game. In four seasons in Athens, he has started 47 games and appeared in 52 games. The TaxSlayer Bowl on January 2nd will be his final start in his outstanding Bulldog career.
Two more Georgia players were named to the All-SEC Second Team. Junior linebacker Leonard Floyd and sophomore strong safety Dominick Sanders received recognition from the SEC coaches for their stellar seasons.
