His allegiance to Richt reigned far superior to that of Georgia or so it seems. Brown had been out recruiting with new head coach Kirby Smart, and it seemed like he would be returning to the Bulldogs next season. This was until he had a change of heart.
The former Georgia running was recruited by and played under Richt from 2004-2007. He had four impressive seasons in Athens with his best year coming in his freshman season where he totaled 875 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. In his final season, he split carries with Knowshon Moreno and finished with 779 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Sugar Bowl winning squad.
After being drafted by the Falcons in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, he spent his final season, 2009, with the Cleveland Browns.

Brown has already made a name for himself in the college coaching world. After being hired by Georgia in 2011 as the assistant strength and conditioning coach, he then hopped from Chattanooga to Marshall in consecutive seasons working as the running backs coach.
He got his big break in 2014 working with the running backs at Wisconsin, which meant he would guide future NFL back Melvin Gordon. Under the tutelage of Brown, Gordon finished runner-up for the Heisman Trophy.
This year he propelled Sony Michel into SEC stardom after the injury to Nick Chubb. The team averaged 194.3 rushing yards per game, which ranked them 34th among all FBS programs.
