Georgia Tech certainly had a forgettable season in 2015 (3-9 overall record). After starting out the season as dark horse playoff contenders, Tech had their first losing season since 2010.

Star quarterback Justin Thomas’s stats went down, but it wasn’t all his fault. The team around him struggled and the offensive line wasn’t very good.

Nevertheless, Thomas has proved how much of a weapon he can be. In his first season as a starter at GA Tech, he led the Jackets to a 11-3 final record highlighted by an overtime win over the Bulldogs, an ACC Championship appearance, and an Orange Bowl victory. Thomas was the big reason Tech had the season they had in 2014.

Thomas is a dual-threat senior from Prattville, Alabama. In his career, he has thrown for 3,195 yards and 32 touchdowns. His biggest strength is his ability to use his legs to make plays and that is why he thrives in Paul Johnson’s triple option offense. Thomas has rushed for 1,808 yards and scored 16 touchdowns on the ground.

Just like the option offense can cause troubles to any defense, Thomas can kill you with the right protection and the right guys around him. He’s not your prototypical QB, but make no mistake, Thomas is dangerous.
