He’s officially a Dawg (sort of). Blue-chip Adam Anderson of the class of 2018 has committed to Kirby Smart and the University of Georgia. Anderson is a 4-star outside linebacker/defensive end from Rome High School in Rome, Ga., and rated as the No. 7 linebacker in the country via 247 Sports.
Anderson’s biggest asset is his size at 6-5, 225 pounds. He is also a fast and explosive player who is adept at rushing the quarterback and tracking runners. He reminds me a lot of Leonard Floyd to be honest.
Scout.com has a great analysis of Anderson and says this about the talented player,
“As a player, Anderson has a motor. He plays hard, he is violent, his hands stay active, and he has speed to the ball. He can improve his pad level, and work leverage more, but you always see his hands flying around, you always see him working to get to the ball, and when he gets that window, he closes in a blur. He plays with his hand in the dirt for Rome, but he is one who could easily stand up on the next level. He is an exceptional athlete who is explosive. He has those long arms, so he has great reach, and he is an excellent pass rusher. He is solid against the run game, but his pad level and overall strength will help him improve there. Anderson is an edge rusher who has real upside and value. He is playing under a great coaching staff, so you see likely see a lot of improvement in the next two years. By the end, this young man could be one of the best in the country on the defensive side of the ball.”

Overall, Anderson was a huge get for Kirby Smart and UGA. He is another top in-state prospect and adds to a class of 2018 recruiting class that already has the commitment of 4-star offensive tackle Max Ray.
Georgia Football fans have to be excited with the addition of Anderson. He could be something special on the next level.
