The Bulldogs are now No. 12 in the country according to the AP poll. They moved up four spots from last week after an exciting win over a Missouri team that promises to be pretty good this year.
Alabama takes the No. 1 spot in the poll for the fourth consecutive time. The Tide are followed by Ohio State, who earned an impressive win over then-No. 14 Oklahoma, and Louisville, who moved up ten spots from last week after a dominating win over then-No. 2 Florida State. Michigan, Clemson, Houston, Stanford, Michigan State, Washington and Texas A&M round out the top ten (in that order).
The rest of the top 25 is as follows: Wisconsin, the Bulldogs, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, Baylor, Arkansas, LSU, Florida, Nebraska, Texas, San Diego State, Ole Miss, Utah and Oklahoma. The SEC finished once again with the most teams in a single conference in the poll with eight.
While there were many big games in Week 3, probably the biggest game from the weekend was then-No. 10 Louisville hosting then-No. 2 Florida State and putting an absolute beatdown on the Seminoles, 63-20. Quarterback Lamar Jackson of Louisville proved how legit he is and made a huge statement concerning his Heisman chances. Jackson threw for 216 yards, rushed for 146 more and was responsible for five total touchdowns.
