Apparently, the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game and the University of Georgia are becoming good friends now. Georgia enjoyed a big opening win against UNC in a great atmosphere in Atlanta. The Georgia football program has expressed interest to play there in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta in four-five years, and their wish appears to have been granted.
According to Jason Butt of the Macon Telegraph, the people who run the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game have selected Georgia and Virginia to play in the game on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020. Although UGA athletic director Greg McGarity has not commented on whether the Bulldogs are playing in the game or not just yet, Virginia associate athletic director Jon Oliver has signed the contract to appear in the game with UGA, and it seems like a done deal.

This game will be played in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which will replace the Georgia Dome, in downtown Atlanta. As a part of the deal, Georgia will don their red jerseys, and Virginia will wear their blue in the game.
Georgia has not played on Labor Day since 1982. This will be a showdown with a primetime position that will have the eyes of people across the country. While Virginia has really struggled in recent years, new head coach Bronco Mendenhall looks to turn the program around and turn them into a power.
