This Saturday, the 2-4 Vanderbilt Commodores travel to Athens to take on the 4-2 Georgia Bulldogs on homecoming. Ahead of this game, DOTD looks at the two MVPs from the ‘Dores. They are running back Ralph Webb and linebacker Zach Cunningham.

Ralph Webb is one of the best backs in the entire SEC. After finishing as an All-SEC nominee in 2015, he is looking for even brighter things this year. Currently, the record-breaking running back has gained 682 yards (second-most rushing yards in the conference) on 136 carries with five touchdowns and an average of five yards a clip.

He is the focal point of the Vanderbilt offense, and he will be a huge point of concern for the Georgia defense. However, if they or anyone else can have stop Webb, it hurts Vandy’s offense tremendously.

Other than Webb, the offense is very mediocre. (Vanderbilt quarterback Kyle Shurmur is not bad, but he does not have much help around him). So it is clear that Webb is going to get a bunch of touches on Saturday, and Georgia has to do all they can to stop him.

The other MVP for Vanderbilt and one of the best defensive players in the SEC is linebacker Zach Cunningham. The 2015 All-SEC nominee leads the SEC in tackles so far this year. He has recorded 62 tackles and forced a fumble through six games this season. Cunningham is really hitting his stride as well as he has had double-digit tackle games the past two weeks.

The 6-4, 230 pound junior is a big-time NFL prospect as he can do it all. He is an unbelievable talent, and Georgia’s offense should keep their eyes on him throughout Saturday afternoon.
