1. Yante Maten

Maten is not only one of the most underrated players in the country, he might be the best player in the SEC. He was signed in 2014 as one of the biggest recruits in Mark Fox’s time in Georgia and he has played as good as advertised since then.

Most recently, Maten had a 30 point, 11 rebound performance against no. 5 Kansas. He was the only Bulldog to score in double figures in the Bulldogs 11-point loss to the Jayhawks. He gets overlooked because Georgia is mostly known as a football school and the basketball team does not have the same rich tradition.

But he has the respect and admiration of every coach in the SEC, and if he keeps having games like the one he had against Kansas, the whole country will know the name Yante Maten.
