5. The potential of Georgia basketball

Georgia basketball had high expectations for the 2016-17 season, but considering the history of the program, fans have reason to be skeptical. But after a respectable effort against no. 5 Kansas, Georgia proved that they are legitimate.

The Bulldogs matched the Jayhawks in almost every stat except shooting. Georgia didn’t just play well against Kansas, the Bulldogs played like they belonged to be in a championship game with them.

Georgia just needs another player or two to step up and help out scoring. As soon as that happens, this team might have the highest ceiling of any Georgia basketball team since 2002. If they play the rest of the year, like they played Tuesday night in Kansas City, there’s no reason why Georgia can’t win at least 21 games.
