This was a huge win for UGA who finally pulled off a close win this season. They never trailed in the game. The Georgia Bulldogs might be getting hot at the right time. They’re winners of 3 of the last 4.

1st Half

It was a very slow, low scoring first half. Georgia went small in the starting line up that included; Turtle Jackson, J.J.Frazier, Juwan Parker, E’Torrion Wilridge, and Derek Ogbeide. This was basically a 4 guard rotation. Georgia went into the half leading 30-18 over the Tide. Alabama had an ugly first half. The Tide shot a horrific 22.6% from the field, while Georgia shot 52.2%.

2nd Half

Alabama would find some rhythm in this half. They went on a quick 11-2 run early in the second half to cut the UGA lead to 40-36. Then, the Freshman Tyree Crump hit 2 very deep 3 point shots to make it a 48-42 uga lead with 9:51 left in the game. They would go back and forth for the rest of the game. The play of the game was made at the 4:30 mark. Georgia led 52-51, Alabama grabbed a huge rebound, but J.J. Frazier ran down the Tide player and stole the ball for an easy lay up to give the Dawgs a 54-51 lead. UGA would hit a few free throws and ultimately win 60-55. UGA shot 46.9% and Bama only shot 33.3%. Alabama missed 11 of their final 13 field goal attempts.

Once again, this goes to J.J. Frazier. He has stepped up big time in the absence of Maten. He went 10-17 from the field, scoring 28 points. Fraizer also played great defense adding 2 steals. He was pivotal down the stretch, scoring 11 of Georgia’s final 12 points.
