1st Half
The Georgia Basketball team honored their 4 seniors by putting them in the starting line up Wednesday night. Brandon Young, Houston Kessler, J.J.Frazier, and Kenny Paul Geno started the game alongside Juwan Parker. The seniors played until the first dead ball timeout. Frazier had a very slow start as he was held scoreless for the first 11 minutes of the game. Auburn controlled the 1st half and went into the locker room leading Georgia 37-30
2nd half
Auburn pushed the lead up to 16 and looked comfortable, until J.J. Frazier took over. The leader of the team put the Dawgs on his back and carried them to victory. Derek Ogbeide added to the help as well with 10 points and 15 rebounds. If Ogbeide continues to put up those numbers, watch out! Auburn shot 44 percent from the field, including 12-27 from 3. Georgia shot 42 percent. The big story in this game once again was Georgia’s free throws. They went 15-16 from the charity stripe (94%).
Player of the Game
J.J. Frazier scored 31 points to earn himself the player of the game. This was the perfect way to end his last game at Stegeman Coliseum. He fought hard and lead Georgia to a 79-78 win in a huge game against rival Auburn.
