10. Shannon Mitchell

Besides running backs, the Georgia football program has also been known for great tight ends. From Randy McMichael, to Leonard Pope, to Orson Charles, to Isaac Nauta. But you can make an argument that Shannon Mitchell was Georgia’s first great tight end.

Mitchell played his entire career with Ray Goff (1990-1993) and he had only one great year statistically, but he left Georgia with 1,146 receiving yards on 99 catches and five touchdowns. He played in 45-of-46 games during his time in Athens and started 39 games.

His best season was 1993 when he caught 49 passes for 539 yards and two touchdowns.
