3. Mecole Hardman Jr,

More from Dawn of the Dawg

The former #1 athlete recruit in the nation out of Elbert County Georgia made a lot of my hometown peeps , including myself,  very happy when he busted through a huge banner at our local high school gym and revealed he had decided to play for UGA.

Hardman played quarterback for my high school alma mater’s team the Elbert County Blue Devils. His speed is amazing now just like it was then. This is the one I would put money on to make a huge impact this season if I were a betting man.

Isaiah McKenzie leaving for the NFL left a hole on special teams at kick returner. Even though he only had a few chances to show his blazing speed last season, Hardman will have many more this year. He’s seen limited snaps at defensive back in 2016 and may see a few more in 2017.

Next: Jim Chaney plans on opening up the offense

But I believe the return game is where this kid is going to light it up. His 4.3 40 speed and natural playmaking ability gives him the potential to become a nationwide superstar and possible NFL player one day. Look for Hardman to make an immediate impact game 1 against Appalachian State.
