10. 1933 vs Auburn

Expect top see a few more Auburn games on this list. While I doubt any of the readers of Dawn of the Dawg were alive to see the 1933 Georgia/Auburn game, no one can doubt its historical significance.

In 1933, the Southeastern Conference had just been created. That year, under head coach Harry Mehre, the Bulldogs went 8-2 and 3-1 in the SEC. That one loss came to the Auburn Tigers. Meaning, had the Bulldogs beaten Auburn, Georgia would have won the first ever SEC Championship.

Instead Alabama won the initial SEC Championship with a 5-0-1 conference record, LSU was second with a 3-0-2 record while Georgia finished 3-1 in the SEC.
