4. 2002 vs. Florida

Perhaps no loss in recent memory stings quite as much as this one. The Bulldogs were undefeated and favored to defeat the Florida Gators. The game stings because it was the only loss keeping the 2002 Bulldogs from a 14-0 record.

And it doesn’t help that the final score was 20-13, Terrence Edwards dropped a deep pass that would have put Georgia in striking distance, and D.J. Shockley thew a pic-six.

Even with a 13-0 record after the SEC Championship game, Georgia still would have probably had to settle for the Sugar Bowl. Miami went undefeated that regular season and they were defending National Champions. Ohio State also played 13 regular season games and won all of them.

But while a shot at a National Championship can be taken, an undefeated season cannot be. Regardless of whether it would have led to a championship or not, the 2002 Cocktail Party is still probably the one that hurts the Bulldog Nation the most.
