Georgia Football: WR’s in spring training
Don’t forget the running backs!
Sony Michel and Nick Chubb have both impressed early on in training. Michel has been more involved in the passing game this spring training. His 33 yard touchdown against TCU in the Liberty bowl reminded fans how dangerous he is in space. Kirby Smart has said several times that the coaches need to give him more opportunities. Getting him in space so that he can make plays like that should be a priority.
Chubb has just looked better this spring training. A full year removed from his ACL tear, he looks more like the elite player he was before the injury and that’s exciting. Receiving is an underrated skill of his and it would be great to see the coaches find innovative ways to get him the ball in space as well.
Next: 3 second year players to look out for.
Involving UGA’s two best weapons more in the passing game could be a great way to improve the offence overall in 2017. Hopefully the coaches find a way to do it and get Chubb and Michel the ball more in space.
