Goldberg will defend the WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in Orlando,Florida on Sunday. Wrestlemania is one of the biggest sports entertainment event of the year. It has turned into a huge entertainment extravaganza that is watched around the world. It’s pretty cool that one of our own Dawgs will be headlining it.
Goldberg spent 4 years as a Georgia Bulldog where he became a staple on the defense. He then went on to a professional football career that included time with the L.A Rams, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Carolina Panthers.
Goldberg is most well known for his professional wrestling career, though. He became one of the most successful and well known superstars of the late 90s in WCW with his famous undefeated streak that finally ended at 173-0. His intense entrances and dominant victories made him one of the most popular performers in the business.
He went on to a career outside of the ring that included various movie roles including “Ready to Rumble” and “The Longest Yard”. Goldberg made his long awaited return to pro wrestling in 2016. He won the WWE Universal Championship from Kevin Owens at the WWE Fastlane pay per view. Maybe the old Dawg has one more good match left in him. WWE Wrestlemania, which is being billed as “The Ultimate Thrill Ride ” ,will take place Sunday April 2 at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
