9. Charley Trippi – Football and Baseball

For 34 years, no one accounted for more touchdowns in Georgia football history than Trippi. He rushed and caught 32 touchdowns and passed for another 14 giving him a total of 48 touchdowns.

When it comes to variety, he may the best scorer in Georgia football history and considering he didn’t play the first half of the 1945 season, he could have scored many more touchdowns.

Trippi, alongside Frank Sinkwich, was a leader of Georgia’s 1942 National Championship team before leaving in 1943 to join the military for World War II. Trippi returned halfway through the 1945 season and then led Georgia to an 11-0 season in 1946 in which he won the Maxwell Award.
