6. Herschel Walker – Football

What’s a top 10 list without Herschel Walker? It just wouldn’t feel right without him. But he’s not just on this list for that reason, he’s on this list because he scored touchdowns and lot of them. The Heisman winner and three-time SEC Player of the Year scored 52 total touchdowns in his three years in Athens.

Walker broke the school record for rushing touchdowns in a season with 15 in 1980 and he broke that record again with 18 in 1981. He added two receiving touchdowns that year for a total of 20 touchdowns. He ended his career in 1982 with 16 rushing touchdowns and one receiving score.

No one crossed the goal line for the Georgia Bulldogs more than Herschel Walker and no one won more than Walker. Georgia won three-straight SEC Championships and a National Championship in 1980 with Walker leading the way.
