Much like Dean, Walker seems like an under the radar player. He plays at the same Chrisp County high school as UGA target and eventual Auburn commit Markevious Bryant. The fact that Bryant ended up at Auburn despite being a UGA lean for so long has meant many have predicted the same for Walker. But he seems more likely to take his own path and fans should hope that path leads to Georgia.

He’s a little bit smaller than Bryant at the moment, only weighing 215 lbs, but his highlights indicate a player who could be even better at rushing the passer. He also holds up really well against the point of attack and in space. He seems like a natural fit for UGA at OLB where he will be asked to do more than just one thing. In many ways, he reminds me of Walter Grant from Cairo in the 2017 class. He’s from a relatively small program but he really can do it all. Ignore than rankings, he’s going to be a name you hear a lot on Saturdays.

Walker has had an interesting recruitment so far. This time last year, people around him considered him to be ‘Mr UGA’. He always wore UGA gear and many thought that he would convince Bryant to be a Dawg before joining him in Athens. But things seemed to change when Bryant picked Auburn. But he has’t given any indication that he is sold on the tigers yet.

If anything after a definite cooling off period for Walker and UGA, they seem to be getting closer together again. If he truly is going to join Dean, then it won’t be at Auburn, who are yet to offer the safety.
