Now we get to the difficult bit. UGA is certainly in the race for these two players but it by no means is a slam dunk. Both players are from Georgia and both have strong ties to the dawgs. They have been called ‘Mr UGA’ a one point during their recruitment. Both however have a lot of other offers from top schools so Georgia has to convince them Athens is the place for them.

According to reports, Georgia continue to show both players a lot of love and being the in state school does still give them some advantage. Kirby Smart and Mel Tucker both have strong defensive backgrounds. This really helps when it comes to recruiting players like this. Both of whom could have NFL futures if they develop on Saturdays.

The hope is that both these players among many others from the 2018 and 2019 classes will be at G-day on April 22nd. That event was huge last year in convincing players that Athens was the place for them. We’ve mentioned it several times, but hopefully this is another reminder to fans of the importance of that day.

We’ve mentioned before how it’s one of the best ways fans can make an impact on the team at UGA. Hopefully these are two players we end up seeing play in red sometime soon.
