3. Stanford Cardinals

The Stanford Cardinal have been one of the most consistent college football programs in the nation in recent past. Stanford has put out big names in the NFL like Andrew Luck and Richard Sherman, two of the NFL’s biggest stars. Since 2010, Stanford has played in 5 BCS/New Years Six bowls, going 3-2 in them.

So why Stanford you ask? Who doesn’t like a good East vs West match up? It’s good exposure for both teams: for recruiting, media, and football fans. I know if I woke up one Saturday morning and knew Georgia was going to have a showdown with Stanford, in a primetime 8 p.m. kickoff, I’d be pumped all day.
