Notre Dame

This is the one I would pick if only given a choice to pick one. And this one is happening Game 2 of this upcoming season! I can’t lie, fellow Dawg fans, I’m pumped for this one. I was too young to remember the last meeting these two teams had in the Sugar Bowl but it’s a game I’ve heard and read about my whole life.

This is the team Georgia defeated to win the one national championship that they’ve won in my lifetime. That 1980 team beat the Irish 17-10 and won it all. I remember seeing the Coke bottles when I was a kid. The history is there on both sides.

I believe a trip to South Bend to visit Notre Dame is probably on the majority of college football fans’ bucket lists.  Notre Dame has been down as of late like Oregon, but I think the Georgia fans who are taking this game lightly are making a mistake. It’s early in the year and in prime-time. So even if the Dawgs look better on paper, Notre Dame will come ready to play with it being at their place.

Next: Monday morning recap

Some of their older fans remember us and that defeat in 1981, I’m sure. I’m hearing this is a very hot ticket and I want to go. I know a few of my fellow Dawg friends who are making this trip. If you’re reading this right now, and you know who you are, there’s no reason not to take me along.
